Our Process

All assignments undertaken by our consultants commence with the development of a detailed assignment brief, in a close consultation with the client. This is a comprehensive document containing details of the organization, its culture, mission and vision and discusses the reason for the vacancy. The job description, and key performance indicators and outcomes as well as candidate profile is also included. We see this document as vitally important to the recruitment process and forms the cornerstone to screening, interviewing, and reference checking.

Senior / Executive Recruitment

LAKES INTERNATIONAL consultants specialize in professional executive recruitment for all business units. We work closely with the hiring manager for a full job specification and walk through the exact package and qualifications required of the candidate.

We discuss any Psychometric testing requirements of the role and establish clear recruitment timeframes. In most cases of senior positions there are many ways of finding the right person for the job

  • Psychometric Testing

Psychometric testing will be tailored for each client depending on the level of candidate and position. Lakes International will facilitate all testing for each individual. We offer a full mentor and personal training service to our clients at CEO management levels and also throughout the organisation.

  • Reference Checking

We believe in qualifying our recommendations. That is why our whole recruitment process is aligned to a carefully prepared brief. It is also why we reference check candidates prior to recommending them to clients to ensure that they do match the brief and that we as consultants can be confident on our recommendations.

Candidate Sourcing

Candidate sourcing is an ongoing process within LAKES INTERNATIONAL. We constantly advertise in major Australian media and through various Internet sites. We are continuously updating our database. Some of our activities include:

  • Conduct initial phone screening and / or discreet search activity as appropriate
  • Receive and acknowledge all resumes and promptly respond to unsuccessful candidates
  • Conduct face to face interviews
  • Conduct reference checks of short-listed candidates
  • Whenever possible, present prepared resumes with consultant comments face to face to you, the client
  • Arrange client interviews with candidates and manage the remaining process to eventual conclusion
  • Guarantee that the consultant is totally committed and available throughout the whole assignment to assist with each stage of the process
